June 16, 2004 -- Alliance Française de Denver has organized a FREE event to celebrate this annual French tradition! Come one, come all and join in the festivities. Bring your family and friends and enjoy pétanque games (a.k.a. bocci balls), volleyball, good food and good company! This is a family picnic so please bring your own food, drinks, and other picnic accessories (chairs, blankets, etc). Some snacks and beverages will also be available for sale at the park. BBQ grill will be available for use. Glass bottles or containers are not permitted in the park. Alcohol is permitted only for those of age and in non-glass containers (beer and wine only, no hard alcohol.) There is plenty of open park space for kids to play, including a nearby playground! This is the opportunity to celebrate French culture and mostly to celebrate family and friends, no matter where you are from!
