Uncle Gus: French bashing: Blues Style

January 7 2004-- Chris “Uncle Gus” Gussa has been hitting the Blues air waves pretty hard these days with the release of his CD, “Turn up the Blues-a-lator” just last year and now taking a humorous, yet hard hitting stab at the French with his new single, “The French Don’t Want’a Talk About it”

You can hear it in full on the World Wide Web by going to www.besonic.com and typing in Uncle Gus on their search.

This is a Straight Ahead Electric Blues Style Tune (Yet works well on Rock and Country stations) with an attitude that contains some Genuine All American "tongue and cheek" French Bashing and Shaming of the French! It's not really political, that is to say partisan, but we feel it's quite patriotic. With a voice like grilled Cheese Whiz, Uncle Gus starts out singing,

"Way across the ocean, way across the sea
There's a beach off the coast of France, They call it Normandy
But the French don't Wanna talk about it.......etc."
One part says,
"If the French don't wanna talk about it , if they'd just rather "pass"
I'm thinkin' the Eiffel Tower should be shoved up ol' Jacquie's.......

The word "ass" is actually never said and it's replaced by a harmonica lick, so it's radio friendly, and everything is done tastefully but if you’re a radio station owner and you want to think a little in the "paranoid" realm, then you might enjoy something like, "It might start a war with the French !" or, "My station will be bombed by French Terrorists !" or how 'bout, "But the Political Correctness Secret Police will hall me off, I know they're out there !"

Well, says Brian Rhoads, manager of Roadcatz Records, sometimes we just have to be brave little solders and think things like, "My ratings could go up if I'm the first to play this !" or, "They might realize this Station has some guts and listen to us more !" or maybe even, "Man, I'm glad I can help get this stuff out to the public, something like this is long over due !"

“The French Don’t want’a Talk About it” can be purchased as a single at BluesMart.com and will most likely be featured on his new CD, “The Blues’ll Never Die” to be released this Summer!
